Today, Karin Housley’s U.S. Senate campaign announced the support of grassroots captains in each of Minnesota’s eight congressional districts. These captains will organize, facilitate, and lead the campaign’s grassroots effort across the state, from now until the election in November.
The captains are: Lynae Hahn and Spencer Krier (First District), Joel Hanson (Second District), Tracy Sterk (Third District), Karen Stack (Fourth District), Susan McDonald (Fifth District), Bobby Benson (Sixth District), David Sturrock and Tommy & Laura Merickel (Seventh District), and Tim Jezierski (Eighth District).
“I’m thrilled to have these congressional district captains on board and thank them for their work to turn Minnesota red in November. They are committed, well-known party leaders that are excited about our campaign’s message of growth, opportunity, and prosperity,” said Karin Housley. “I am so appreciative of their efforts as we work together to challenge the status quo in Minnesota politics.
The announcement comes as the campaign continues to gain momentum leading up to the Republican Party of Minnesota state convention on June 1-2. A Minnesota state senator, small business owner, and author, Karin Housley’s campaign also has the support of two former U.S. Senators for Minnesota, Rudy Boschwitz and Norm Coleman, as well as Congressman Tom Emmer and nearly the entire Republican delegation of state legislators.
