MINNEAPOLIS, MN – Today, the Police Officers Federation of Minneapolis announced its unanimous endorsement of Republican candidate Karin Housley in Minnesota’s special election for United States Senate.
“I’m so honored to have the support of the Police Officers Federation of Minneapolis. We entrust the men and women of Minnesota’s law enforcement community to keep us safe, and I want them to know I will always have their backs,” Housley said. “I will work with the Police Federation to make sure our law enforcement officers have the resources and support they need to do their jobs.”
“The Police Officers Federation of Minneapolis is proud to endorse Karin Housley for United States Senate. Karin is a tremendous friend of law enforcement – and she has the record to prove it,” said Lt. Bob Kroll, president of the Police Officers Federation of Minneapolis. “Keeping our communities safe is the cornerstone of our profession, and I know Karin will work with us, hear us, and advocate for us in our shared pursuit of public safety. When we work together, we all win.”
Housley is the only police-endorsed candidate in the race.
The Police Officers Federation of Minneapolis represents more than 900 law enforcement officers employed by the City of Minneapolis and the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board. It is the largest non-affiliated law enforcement union in the state.
