After appearing alongside an empty podium at the KSTP-TV debate, Karin Housley, Republican nominee for U.S. Senate in Minnesota issued the following statement:
“I was glad to speak directly to Minnesotans about the issues that matter – making health care more affordable, keeping our borders secure and our communities safe, and finding ways to cut through the partisan gridlock. Minnesotans did not elect Tina Smith – and her refusal to participate in the only statewide televised debate of the campaign shows just how little value she places in earning the votes of those she claims to represent.
“At the end of the day, this race is about who will best serve the people of Minnesota – and Minnesotans can always count on me to show up.”
